Missy

(Practice Manager)
Hello! My name is Missy.
I joined the HVC Family in the fall of 2024.
I have always had a soft spot for animals and dreamed of becoming a veterinarian when I grew up.
I began my journey in veterinary medicine fresh out of high school when I took my first job working in the kennel at a small clinic in central Ohio. Everyone starts from the bottom and works their way up, right? I am no different.
I quickly found my place in reception, where I have spent most of my time. During my time in veterinary medicine, I have had the pleasure of helping fur babies and their owners in central Ohio, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Atlanta Georgia, and now here in Florida.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my 4 wonderfully talented children, exploring Orlando’s numerous theme parks, visiting local farmers’ markets, or taking photos of nature. I try to embrace life and enjoy wherever it takes me.
While I have had my fair share of pets over the years, I currently have several cats and a senior Beagle of my own.
It is my daily goal to spread positivity and keep things light. I am a true believer in “stopping to smell the roses!”
David

(Vet Tech)
Hey guys, my name is David. I have been working at HVC since 2008. I started working in the kennel area and worked my way to full-time tech. I have learned and seen so much since starting and I wouldn’t change a thing. I can’t believe how fast time has flown since I started here, Animals have always been a big part of my life ever since I was a little boy.
People that know me call me “Dr. Dolittle” because of my passion and love for animals. I love my job and I come to work every day thankful for what I do. We are like a small family here and like to get to know our clients.
I like long walks on the beach, good conversations, and food LOL. Some other fun facts about me are, that I am a bit of a geek and I love to read (anything sci-fi or fantasy). To tell the truth I love to listen to books a proud Audible member here. I am also a BIG Harry Potter nerd (yes I have the wand and everything), and to round it off I love to go cruising (Loyal to Royal here!) Now that you have read all of this come in to say hi and have a magical day.
Juan

(Vet Tech)
Hey everyone, my name is Juan. I have been working for HVC since August 2010, but I’ve been working in this field since 2002.
I’m originally from the Bronx, N.Y. and that’s where I learned a lot about animals and the field itself. I have a very strong passion and respect for pit bulls; this is why I have owned several. My goal is to own my own boarding facility. I now do boarding and pet sitting on the side, feel free to talk to me about it when you visit the clinic.
I come to work every day with a positive attitude because, although I’m not a veterinarian, I feel as if I make life a little better for the animals in general. I love this job and work very hard at it because working in this field has made me respect the little things about animals that a lot of people don’t notice. They call me the dog whisperer.
Jayden

(Veterinary Technician Assistant)
Hellooo! I’m Jayden, and I’m a Veterinary Technician Assistant here at Hiawassee Veterinary Clinic. I joined the team in October and couldn’t be more excited to be part of a clinic that truly cares for every pet like family. Before joining HVC, I spent three years working in daycare and boarding, where I specialized in helping pets feel comfortable, calm, and safe, especially those who are a little nervous at first.
Animals have always been a huge part of my life. My grandmother ran her own animal rescue, so I grew up surrounded by dogs, cats, fish, birds—you name it! Over the years, I’ve cared for everything from goats and turtles to chameleons and chickens. Working in veterinary medicine has always been my dream, and I’m grateful every day for the chance to make a positive impact on both pets and their owners.
When I’m not at the clinic, you’ll probably find me playing video games, spending time with my pets at home, or enjoying a day at Disney—or really, any theme park! I’m also a junior at Florida Atlantic University, earning my bachelor’s degree in Communications.
I’m so happy to be part of the HVC family, and I can’t wait to meet you and your furry friends soon!
Jackie

(Receptionist)
Hi my name is Jackie. I have been working at HVC since March 2022. Having worked in veterinary medicine as an office assistant/receptionist for over 12 years, my passion for helping animals, owners, and rescues has grown with each passing year. There’s a thrill of learning something new every day whether it be from a pet owner, a pet, or from a technician or a doctor.
My house is home to three beautiful rescue dogs so there’s always joy and laughter in the home thanks to them.
I’m proud to have become a member of Hiawassee Veterinary Clinic’s team of professionals (they all are truly amazing in what they do) and strive to help all callers/clients/pets in any way I know how. If you hear a loud voice answering the phone when you call the clinic, chances are that’s me.
Tracy

(Receptionist)
Hello, my name is Tracy. I have been working as a veterinary receptionist at HVC since July of 2026. I am new to this field & couldn’t be happier to end up at this awesome clinic! Not only is the team I work with great, kind & caring, so are the clients!
I love animals & have had many over the years. Birds, cats, dogs, fishes, horses, goats, pigs, turkeys, chickens, rabbits, sheep & even the creepy kind. Snakes & lizards, lol! I currently do not have any fur babies or creepy things, but I definitely get my fill while working here.
My interests include spending time with my grandbabies, gardening, fishing, boating & of course the beach.
I am excited to be here & look forward to the many years to come. Hope to meet you & your fur babies soon. Have an awesome day!
Brookelle

(Receptionist)
My name is Brookelle. I am a receptionist here at the clinic.
I have loved animals since I was a little girl and had dreams of becoming a large animal or exotic animal vet. Over time I found my calling is in the field of Psychology and I am a full time student at UCF, but this job has allowed me to be around vet med and experience it first hand.
I am originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and moved here in 2024 for the Disney College Program. I fell in love and never left. I now live here with my boyfriend and his family. I travel home to see my family a ton as well.
My house is home to a cat named Leia and a dog named Paris. Some of my heart is still back home in PA with two more cats and even some reptiles.
When I am not here at the clinic you will find me at Walt Disney World, hanging at home with my animals, working out, crafting, baking and cooking and on the back of a horse.
That’s enough about me. I look forward to hearing all about you and your pets when you come to visit us.
OH!! And if an email, or text ends with “:)”
It is 100% me!!
